Here is our status at the end of the spring quarter 2025.

  • LupBook is getting incredibly close to becoming feature complete. Sachin added the possibility to resize code editors vertically, and is almost done implementing indentation support for Parsons activities. Lingfeng has worked on improving the feedback for most activities which will be merged soon too. Based on Ananya’s work from last quarter, I have enhanced the versioning of the VM and our release pipeline.
  • Kush and Shengmin have written a draft paper about their work on LupIO, that is the implementation of the entire collection of I/O devices on FPGA. There’s still a bit of work but we hope the paper can be submitted by the end of the summer.
  • Gabbriel is working on a reboot of XV6, the popular educational operating system from MIT, in Zig. We hope to make significant progress over the summer.
  • Alaister and Tej have continued working on a draft focused on the records aspect of our study comparing perceived and actual success between high school admits and transfer students. We’re close to having a full draft.
  • Meanwhile, Saili, Tanek and I are almost done with the paper covering the survey aspect of the same study. We plan to submit it within the next couple weeks.
